Panettone French Toast – Make This! Episode 142

This is simply the best French Toast you will have so go out and get some Panettone and try this. This dish was inspired by Giada De Laurentiis and I have modified it with a few additions. Please go get some Panettone’s today as they are sure to be on clearance right now and buy more than one as I promise you will be making this often!

    My favorite Panettones are the William Sonoma Chestnut one and any one that has Giandua cream in it (a Hazelnut cream like Nutella). Have not made the French toast yet with the Chestnuts–maybe tomorrow. Good job with the eggs, Paolo!

    French toast looks nicely caramelized and delicious. I always go with the easy way of just adding eggs, milk, sugar and vanilla extract, I have to give this a try.

    Madonna! I'm going into insulin shock having just watched that episode…I missed the Panettone clearance buying window until next year, but I can't wait to surprise my better half with this one.
    Strong coffee chaser will be a must…followed by a nap once the crash comes.
    (I hope that was VT maple syrup you were using!)

    You overlayed a text comment that mentioned about the type of soft, souffle-type inside you'll get from baking/warming. I remember that in my mom's French Toast.
